So what does leadership mean to you? In a quest to learn what other’s think about that question Steven Foster embarked on his “Full-Throttle Leadership Ride” in Dallas on Friday, June 28. Lasting 32 days and traveling through 34 states for a total of 15,000 miles, with a scheduled finish in Houston, TX on, July 31, Steven has covered every mile with his Boots ON! Along the way he’s met some amazing veterans from the Korean War, Vietnam War and current day battles. Their amazing stories of heroism, survival and service inspired him on difficult ride days passing through torrential rain, the severe heat wave in the northeast and midwest and even a wildfire or two.
Steven is a leader himself. When he is not boot-riding around the United States, he is a public speaker and mentor to Fortune 500 and 100 companies. His business Foster & Fathom focuses on helping others become strong leaders no matter how big or small the group each individual might be leading.
In every city where Steven stops, the boots have become an unavoidable conversation piece which has already garnered over two thousand dollars in charitable funds to the Boot Campaign through his Boot Campaign fundraising site:
You can read his journal about his trip, the many veterans he met and some of their stories on his blog site:
If you’re in the area of some of his stopping points on the last leg of the ride, be sure to cheer him along with your boots ON and tell him Boot Campaign sent ya!
