Hurley Clothing Distribution Benefits Active Duty Families

/

Saturday, December 14, 2013, Boot Campaign staff welcomed 300 military servicemen and women and their families for a private giveaway of more than 3,000 pounds of apparel – shirts, pants, and outerwear – donated by the socially-conscious Hurley clothing brand.

Doors opened early at 8 a.m. on that frosty morning, and the chilly guests were treated to coffee, cookies, and candy canes to add even more good cheer to their shopping experience.

Santa Claus and the Battalion Chief, Carl Boatright of the Georgetown, Texas Fire Department were on hand to help out the dedicated BC staffers. Guests were allotted about 15 minutes of shopping time to pick out four items of clothing per family member and were guided through the stacks and stacks of donated goods with the help of Boot Campaign staff.

The response from the attendees was incredibly positive:

“Thank you sooo much for the Hurley event today!! Everyone was super nice :)” -Jessica Infinger

“A huge thanks to y’all and Hurley for the clothes we were able to get yesterday! My children were all able to get a shirt and hoodie, and my husband and I fit into 32s perfectly so we were able to get a few pairs of much needed pants and shorts! Thanks again Boot Campaign!” – Raylene Gill

“Thank you so much Boot Campaign and Hurley for the new clothes, what a blessing. My son was so happy to receive a new jacket and was really in need of a new one. 🙂 “

Boot Campaign is so happy to partner with another great service-minded company. We’re looking forward to more totally rad events in 2014!
