Granger Smith Announces Concert to Celebrate Completion of 3rd Annual 100-Mile Boot Walk and Honor Local Military

Concert to be Held Thursday, April 11th at Fort Hood Harley Davidson

Austin, TX (March 21, 2013) – Country music artist Granger Smith plans to celebrate the completion of the 3rd Annual 100-Mile Boot Walk in a big way—by treating fans to a free concert! Granger is dedicating this free show to all of America’s brave defenders. Granger Smith’s post-Boot Walk concert will be from 7:00-10:00pm on April 11th at Fort Hood Harley Davidson 875 W Central Texas Expressway Harker Heights, TX.Donations will be welcomed at the door, and every dollar will go back to support troops through the Boot Campaign.  Food and Drink will be available for purchase.

Granger Smith releases his anticipated new album, Dirt Road Driveway on April 16, 2013.  Those attending Granger’s concert on April 11th at Fort Hood Harley Davidson will have the chance to purchase the new album before it’s released!

This free concert will come on the heels of Granger Smith’s 3rd Annual Boot Walk.  On Sunday, April 7th Granger will start his 100-mile journey in Austin, TX.  The Boot Walk will end on Thursday, April 11th when Granger reaches the gates of Fort Hood.  Boot Walk Route and Schedule will be posted on www.BootWalk.com All funds raised through the Boot Walk will benefit the Boot Campaign, a national 501c3 non-profitdedicated to showing tangible appreciation of our active military, raising awareness of the challenges they face upon return and supporting their transition home.

“It has always been important to me to help raise awareness, morale and patriotism for our freedom fighters. It’s easy to forget we’re still a country at war and we want this year’s campaign to be bigger and better than the last,” says Granger. “To reach more people; to raise more money for Boot Campaign; to remind people to thank a soldier… They volunteer to ensure our way of life.”

Since 2011, Granger has logged more than 200 miles in his BOOTS—his way of paying tribute to all those serving our country in the U.S. Armed Forces. For the 3rd Annual Boot Walk, Granger has set a goal of raising $20,000 in support funds for the Boot Campaign’s five areas of military assistance—Jobs, Housing, Wellness, Family Support and Urgent Assistance.
