Non-Profit, The Boot Campaign, Welcomes New Recruits Into its “Give Back” Effort

Nashville, TN (February 26, 2013)-Six Market Blvd. is a name that has been getting a steady flow of attention over the last year with the release of their latest record SHAKE IT DOWN.  Released independently in May of 2012 and re-released nationally in November of that same year, the record has spun a most powerful web that has captured debuting positions on the Billboard charts and the iTunes country chart, a Top 10 single on the Texas Music Chart and an entanglement of national acclaim in high profile outlets including the, Country Weekly Magazine, Texas Music Magazine and Billboard’s The 615 music blog.

These Stephenville, Texas-based boys sure have come a long way in a short time and they continue their march into expanding territories donning their newly acquired combat boots in honor of The Boot Campaign, a national patriotic movement that has welcomed the band into the fray earlier this year. Clayton Landau, Josh Serrato, Ben Hussey, Dallas Neal and new member Red Shahan will clock the miles in their boots along a touring path that boasts 150 plus shows a year…and counting.

The Boot Campaign is a national 501c3 non-profit based in Texas that is dedicated to showing tangible appreciation of our active military by encouraging Americans to “get their boots on”.  By lacing up a pair of the Boot Campaign’s signature combat boots, Americans are showing appreciation for troops, cultivating awareness of the challenges they face upon return and raising funds for military programs meeting the physical and emotional needs of our heroes.  Through the sale of its signature combat boots, general public donations, and corporate sponsorship, the Boot Campaign operates five distinct initiatives — Jobs, Housing, Family Support, Urgent Assistance and Wellness– that are caring for military personnel, past and present, healing from a variety of physical and emotional combat wounds, embodying the campaign motto that, “When They Come Back, We Give Back.”

The special edition compilation CD of the same name featuring Jack Ingram, Cory Morrow, Robert Earl Keen, Micky and the Motorcars, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Eli Young Band, Aaron Watson and No Justice (just to name a few) can be purchased via the Boot Campaign store along with boots, apparel and other accessories.
