U.S. Army Veteran Jay Leitner’s second deployment introduced him to the harsh realities of war and combat. Impacted by the events of 9/11, Marc Aldrich proudly joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a Flight Mechanic after high school. His time spent as a Flight Mechanic quickly introduced him to the world of combat, leaving him little time to process the trauma and grief that came along with it. After separating from service, his sleep and physical health took a turn for the worse, leading a friend to suggest that he reach out to Boot Campaign for help. Marc began a personalized program to treat his specific symptoms and shares how he has overcame his hidden wounds and became a healthier person, better father and committed employee as a result. Struggling with bouts of anger and depression, he ultimately made a plan to end his life but instead, reached out for help. Retired U.S Air Force Veteran Kyle Baglia came to Boot Campaign when he realized that his thoughts were so destructive they had driven him to the point of taking his life. With a desire to be the man of selfless service that he was when he signed up for the military, he shares how our Health & Wellness Program lifted him out of the valley he had become lost in.
