Jackson is a great example of how volunteering with Boot Campaign can lead to exceptional opportunities. This Texas native was born and raised just outside of Fort Hood and comes from a multigenerational military family. He’s also an expert in the kitchen, after receiving an Associates of Culinary Arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America in New York. But home beckoned and Jackson returned to Texas and went on to receive a Bachelors of Hospitality Management from University of North Texas. Jackson first found Boot Campaign when a friend asked him to volunteer at an event. Not knowing what he was getting himself into Jackson found himself intrigued and inspired by the BC mission and the opportunity to work with veterans. Our volunteers, staff, and veterans alike appreciated Jackson’s enthusiasm and passion, so when he expressed interest in our strategic partnerships role we knew he would be the perfect fit. Jackson has a pretty contagious personality and it’s hard not to have fun whenever he is around.
