Theo Rossi & Mike Burke Share Story of ‘Staten Strong’ on FOX 5 Good Day New York

Staten Strong Co-Founders Theo Rossi (FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”) and Mike Burke (Co-Owner, Denino’s Pizza) share the story of Staten Strong and the Staten Strong Gala on December 27, 2012.

After Hurricane Sandy left many on Staten Island without electricity, gasoline, cars and even their homes, we didn’t wait for help to come.  We rose up to help those who needed it.  You can too.  Staten Strong is more than a charity—we’re a community taking care of each other when and where we need it most.  Founded by a group of Staten Island natives, including Theo Rossi of FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”, we’re working day in and day out to help our neighbors get back on their feet after the storm.

Your donation will help fulfill immediate needs on the ground in the Staten Island community.  From purchasing clothing a groceries, to generators and building supplies—you’ll be helping residents recover and rebuild after this devastating storm.  Since we’re a community based group right here in Staten Island, we can get your donation to the people who need it more quickly and efficiently than national charities or government organizations.

In an effort to raise funds for those devastated by Hurricane Sandy, a group of local residents and celebrity supporters will host the Staten Strong Gala on December 27, 2012 from 8:00pm to 1:00am at the Excelsior Grand in the New Dorp section of Staten Island, NY.  Tickets are only available for purchase on www.StatenStrongGala.com.

The event features guest Theo Rossi, Kim Coates and Ron Perlman of FX’s hit show “Sons of Anarchy,” The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe of Tru TV’s show “Impractical Jokers,” drummer AJ Pero, of the band Twisted Sister, DJ Skane of the Wu Tang Clan, Clemnza Caserta of FOX’s “Hells Kitchen,” Local Artist Scott Lobaido and Chris Franjola of E!’s “Chelsey Lately.”

Included in the $100 entry fee is a five-hour cocktail party/ open bar, live entertainment, auctions and raffles.  In addition there will be tattoo stations and other attractions that will be announced as the event draws closer.

“After Hurricane Sandy left many on Staten Island without electricity, gasoline, cars and even their homes, we didn’t wait for help to come,” said Theo Rossi.  “We rose up to help those who needed it. Staten Strong is more than a charity–we’re a community taking care of each other.”

Founded by a group of Staten Island natives, including Rossi, “we’re working day in and day out to help our neighbors rebuild their lives.”
